Lens Control

Preston FIZ Motors on ARRI 435

When a camera is on a remote head or crane the Camera Operator and Camera Assistant must control the camera and lens remotely. This is accomplished by attaching motors to the lens and a camera control box to the camera. Operation is accomplished via a wired or wireless control unit. The PRESTON FIZ is the industry standard, though is of older design and does not have some of the more complex camera controls of the CMOTION, and might be less ergonomic. Camera Crane Specialists has both the PRESTON FIZ and the CMOTION systems in Chicago, allowing you the choice of systems for your next shoot. Both systems can be rented independently of our camera cranes
